About Us

Once a year Conversation Cafes and co-hosts organize a week when everyone, everywhere is invited to sit down in small groups to consider together the most important questions in the world today. We live in challenging and complex times. No one knows THE answer, but everyone holds a piece of the answer. You can say your piece during Conversation Week. We, and the world, will be all listening.

There are two multimedia methods to learn to be a Conversation Cafe host: audio recordings and video.

Audio Recordings
These are tailored to Conversation Week in particular, and include the script for the conference call trainings. For hosts who missed a call or need a refresher, this is a great resource.

Segment 1 - Welcome to Conversation Week and this Training (6:16, 2.1MB)

Segment 2 - Participants, OrangeBand, What to Bring (8:36, 2MB)

Segment 3 - Agreements, How to Start (8:55, 2MB)

Segment 4 - The Process (17:33, 4MB)

Segment 5 - After the Conversation, What Next? (5:51, 1.3MB)

Videos
The videos are specifically for Conversation Cafe and do not include mention of Conversation Week. They have all the information needed to learn how to be a Conversation Cafe Host.
